Elmwood Residential Home is a vibrant 38 bedded care home within the village of Colyford, which is part of Colyton, situated in East Devon.

You have to be prompt, punctual and reliable. Ideally we are looking for people who live in Colyford or a 10 mile radius. Please do not apply if you live outside of a 10 mile radius unless you already have accommodation locally and will be moving.

Responsibilities

• Run the floor, ensuring the care staff know what they are doing
• Administer medication
• Care Plans
• Risk Assessments
• Liaise with GP, Community Nursing Team, other professionals, Families etc…
• Assist with daily activities of life
• Assist to provide balanced and varied diet and fluids
• Contribute to High Standards of care and hygiene within the home
• Promote health and well being of residents

Requirements

• NVQ 2/3 preferred but not essential
• Willing to work toward NVQ 3
• Previous training is not necessary
• To have empathy and a caring nature
• Wishing to treat an individual as you would like to be treated yourself
• Conscientious
• Hard working
• A good communicator
• Able to work alone and as part of a close knit team
